Final Draft Front Cover

My final front cover page stands out alot due to the colour scheme and the focal image. I have used a lot of red on the page which conforms to the genre of the magazine being 'rock' and to the house style. I feel that the title font and colour works well and that the name of the magazine resembles the swirly font which resembles and microphone cord relating to the word 'unplugged'. The bar code, issue number and price are a good size as its visible but does not draw attention away from the rest of the page. I believe the price of my magazine is fair and as a result of my market research it would be a price my target market would be willing to pay. The 'exclusive' band at the bottom makes the reader think that if they buy this magazine they will find out information about bands, artists and music that no one else will therefore its a persuasive technique. I fell my picture conforms to the inide genre and so do the fetaured bands on the left. The 3 colours stripes in which the bands are stated are bright and draw attention to them to engage with the reader. 'Lucy B' stands out against the main artists long hair and the background colour which is an off white. This will be one of the first pieces of text the reader will see making them want to buy the magazine and find out more about the artist. The photo is flattering which also would make boys and girls want to find out more.

Overall i feel i have succeeded in creating a magazine that my target audience would like and buy as the price, colour scheme, layout and language is accesible to them.

Final Draft Content Page

I feel my final draft is layed out well as the column on the left is in accesible sections and the text is easy to read due to the colour scheme. The pictures on the right are framed to draw attention to them and each have the reffered page number next to them so the reader can easily get to the page they want. The magazines website is again repeated at the top of the page so the reader can access the website and also remember the name of the magazine. The issue number and page is visibly at the bottom of the page in black which stands ut from the background colour. The logo is also repeated and again contrasts well with the background colour. I have conformed to the house style throughout my magazine and feel it would appeal to both sexes and my chosen age and target market.

Final Draft Double Page Spread

This is my final draft of my double page spread. i feel that i have succeeded in creating a unisex colour scheme within my whole magazine as well as using font style that would appeal to both sexes. The border divides the 2 pages well and the colour conforms to the music genre. I have layed out the article in 3 traditional columns to ensure the text is accesible to the reader and is seperated so the mass of text does not look boring. the big red 'L' behind the text again is part of my house style and set upon a light background which contrasts which brings attention to the article page and text. On the left page my focal image is in black and white so the colours did not clash with my house style. I also feel this works well with the genre and creates a good contrast between the bright 'rock' style colours and the black and white image. i have repreated the magazines logo on the left page as well so the name is recognisable and remembered. Also reapeated is the magazines website at the bottom of the article.
